Taylor Made Cuisine is a full-service catering and meal delivery company based in Irvine, CA. They currently serve both Orange and Los Angeles Counties.
Their mission is to change people’s lives from the inside out. They do this by serving quality food that nourishes both body and soul. Per their website:
“Eating well is about four things: balance, variety, wholesome ingredients and amazing flavor. Our approach to food emphasizes the importance of these key factors.”
A key ingredient in Taylor Made Cuisine’s recipe for success is their software. Their in-house wellness team uses it to craft personalized menus for their customers. These menus are “Taylor Made” to cater both to dietary needs and general preferences.
The Challenge of Scaling Up a Successful Meal Subscription Business
We first met Taylor Made Cuisine through the original developer of their software. He had since joined Arcanium and thus referred them to us.
The original software met the needs of their business back when it was first developed. Yet, as their business grew, they saw a need for their software to grow along with it.
For their new software, they wanted to streamline their processes. This would help them meet increasing demand.
They hired us to build “Version 2.0.”
How Arcanium Responded
Arcanium worked with Taylor Made Cuisine to translate their goals into software requirements.
The resulting list focused on three areas:
- Addressing bugs and other issues in their existing software
- Designing a cleaner, more intuitive user experience (UX)
- Automating the menu-writing process wherever possible to improve efficiency
We also met throughout the development process. These meetings helped not only to share progress but also to collect feedback. We used this to refine our requirements list and improve the final product.
